Indonesia’s Leader Appoints New Officials in Cabinet Reshuffle

(MENAFN) Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto executed a cabinet reshuffle on Monday, installing six new officials in a bid to consolidate and strengthen his administration's grip on key portfolios.

Among the newly appointed figures, Jumhur Hidayat assumes the role of environment minister, while Hanif Faisol Nurofiq takes the position of deputy coordinating minister for food.

The reshuffle also filled four additional posts — chief of presidential staff, head of the government communications agency, special presidential adviser for communications, and head of the Indonesian quarantine agency — signaling a broad realignment across both policy and communications arms of Prabowo's government.
