WCK announces resumption of humanitarian aid in Gaza
According to a statement from the organization, aid trucks have finally reached their teams in Gaza for the first time in more than 12 weeks. The group has restarted meal preparation at selected kitchens, marking a crucial step toward ramping up food production to address the urgent needs of displaced Palestinians.
On the first day back in operation, nearly 10,000 meals were prepared, the statement noted.
While this shipment represents a significant achievement, WCK cautioned that the consequences of extended hunger cannot be reversed immediately.
The organization had been compelled to halt cooking activities at all its large-scale kitchens and mobile bakery on May 7 due to a complete depletion of food supplies within Gaza.
