Medvedev Warns Against Alleged Ukrainian "Dirty Bomb" Use
Medvedev delivered this stern message on Saturday, asserting that any "potential attempts by the adversary to produce and deploy a so-called dirty bomb" would be met with a "proportional" counterstrike from Russia.
”With what? With a clean bomb: Tactical nuclear weapons. We have enough of them,” Medvedev declared on Telegram.
He continued, ”I will keep silent about the consequences for future life and the environment. But the sick perverts in Kiev with their twisted imagination should have a good idea of it. Let them take a walk in the Chernobyl exclusion zone and watch those colorful TV series,” seemingly alluding to the HBO miniseries that depicted the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
The issue was previously raised on Friday during a question-and-answer segment with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Putin remarked that such a move by Kiev would be its “final mistake” and would bring about “catastrophic” outcomes for Ukraine.
