IAEA Confirms Radiation Levels Stable After Recent Attacks
The agency stated on X, “IAEA will provide further assessments on situation in Iran as more information becomes available.”
Tensions in the region escalated further after US President Donald Trump revealed that American forces had executed "very successful" airstrikes targeting three Iranian nuclear installations, intensifying concerns about a possible wider conflict.
The hostilities began on June 13 when Israel carried out air raids on multiple locations throughout Iran, hitting both military and nuclear targets. This prompted Iran to retaliate with missile strikes of its own.
Israeli officials reported that Iranian missile attacks have resulted in at least 25 fatalities and hundreds of injuries.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Health Ministry reported that 430 people have lost their lives and over 3,500 have been wounded as a consequence of the Israeli offensive.
